OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To support sustainable resource utilization, and to conserve wildlife and their habitats in the Balgowan Conservancy for the benefit of present and future generations by stimulating interest and active participation among all residents of the community through communication and education.

WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE
The Balgowan Conservancy was established in 1978 by landowners in the area who were concerned about the reduction in the number of game and general degradation of the environment. With much help from the then Natal Parks Board, the conservancy was duly started and became the first of many conservancies with the same objectives which have spread across KwaZulu Natal.
